If you鈥檙e a fan of former Japanese adult film star Maria Ozawa AKA Miyabi (i.e. blossomed into puberty in the early 2000s), you鈥檝e probably heard about her upcoming gala dinner in Jakarta, though not everyone鈥檚 too happy about it.
As promoted in the poster for the event, Gala Dinner with Miyabi is slated to be held at Four Seasons Hotel on June 5, where the capacity is limited to 50 guests only. One has to splurge IDR15 million (US$1,020) before tax to spend two hours dining, chatting, and taking selfies with Miyabi herself, as well as taking home her autograph and memorabilia.
The event is organized by Repezen Entertainment Present, which is owned by Insta influencer-slash-DJ Evelin Nada Anjani. Evelin said recently that Miyabi will also make an appearance in her upcoming music video.
As harmless as the event may be, Damai Hari Lubis, former spokesman of firebrand cleric Rizieq Shihab, fears of a hidden political agenda behind the gala dinner. He demanded Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to reject the permit for the event because he thinks it will be a stain on the politician鈥檚 career.
鈥淢aybe the issue of Miyabi coming to entertain Jakartans has political purposes, bringing down Anies鈥 good name at the end of his administration,鈥 Damai .
Anies is expected to run for president in 2024, which is why Damai, who also represents a conservative Islamic group called Mujahid 212, said that the governor has a strong reason to ban Miyabi from coming to the capital.
鈥淎nies ideally should not hand out the organizing permit. While this entertainment event that will bring a pornographic figure is nonpolitical, but it can be a 鈥楤atman trap鈥 for Anies, a figure who is widely referred top as a presidential candidate for [the election] in 2024,鈥 he said.
鈥淏atman trap鈥 or jebakan betmen is Indonesian slang meaning feeling the brunt from someone else鈥檚 actions.
In addition, Damai is calling on authorities to reject not only Miyabi, but all people and symbols that represent pornography or liberal sexual attitudes.
Miyabi, who鈥檚 36 years old, visited Bali last month, during which she was accompanied by Evelin and her squad.
